In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I sit down with Dave Albin who is an incredible human being who spent nineteen years working with the legendary Tony Robbins.

Dave was in change of all the firewalks for Tony Robbins events globally.

Dave has helped men, women, children, and corporate executives (an estimated 500,000 people) walk on burning hot coals and broken glass without injury for almost two decades.

Why would anyone want to walk on hot coals and broken glass you might ask?

What can walking on hot coals and broken glass teach you?

It can teach you that when you are in a peak state, we can defy the laws of physics and do the impossible.

In addition to Tony Robbins, Dave has worked with organizations like NASA, GOOGLE, The University of Notre Dame, etc...

This is a special and important episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast. In this episode, I share a message that is very dear to my heart about peace, and about becoming a person of peace.

How do we cultivate a life of peace in the midst of violence?

How do we respond to conflict and violence without becoming violent ourselves?

Is true peace passive in the face of injustice, or is it active?

In this epsiode, I share four very important realities that we need to understand as we are surrounded by violence and are being called to react with violence. Please give this episode a careful listen.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I sit down with award winning author, educator, and athlete Suzy Ryan to discuss her incredible story of childhood abuse, homelessness, and her journey to becoming an award winning educator.

In this episode, we talk about her story, a bit about her new novel Saving Summer, and also how her childhood trauma led her to the brink of death as an adult through the development of a mysterious heart condition that many are linking to unprocessed trauma. You'll appreciate Suzy's inspiring story.

Do you know what the earliest warning signs of chronic disease are?

In the Western world, many people assume they are in good health until they are diagnosed with a diease. The problem is, that's not how life works. Disease begins very subtly and is likely with us long before we are aware that it is there.

Our system will give us warning signs in advance, however. It's important to become aware of the roots of chronic disease as it begins at the subtle level before it manifests at the physical level.

In this epsiode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I invited doctor of Ayurveda Victor Briere back on the show again to discuss how to recognize if we are on the road of health, or chronic disease. The warning signs just might surprise you.

Give this episode a careful listen. Your life and health are worth it.

You can connect with Ayurvedic Doctor Victor's work further HERE.

Equanimity- Mental calmness, composure, and evenness of temper, especially in a difficult situation.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I sit down with Jodi Wellman again on the show to discuss the all important state of being called equanimity.

Are you equanimous in your daily life? If not, we will not have the ability to experience life fully, and we will not have the ability to respond to the situations that are happening in our lives. Also, having equanimity as it relates to death gives us a greater access to life.

This is a fantastic conversation that I invite you into. Listen and enjoy!

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, Aly Sousa and I continue our series about the dynamics that drain us of vital life force energy.

In this episode, we talk about why clinging to our own opinions about how life should be, and also about how our fantasies about the past or the future play a major role in draining us of life force energy leading to a breakdown in health in every aspect of our life.

We also discuss the role of being present in conversation and how important it is to listen and allow ourselves to be moved by not resisting what is being communicated because of our own sense of judgement or fear of powerlessness.

This conversation was one of my personal favorites with Aly. I invite you to give this episode a careful listen.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I had the privledge of interviewing Jay Alan, founder and CEO of Gangstaholistic.

Several years ago, Jay found himself on the verge of death. In his thirties, Jay developed chronic and uncontrolled hypertension which led to stage two renal disease and congestive heart failure. He was literally on the verge of death. This is when he decided to take control of his health.

In three months, Jay had completely reversed his congestive heart failure and renal disease by embracing a holistic approach to health. This success eventually led Jay to creating a company called gangstaholistic which aims to give people access to health and wellness. I strongly encourage you to listen to this episode carefully.

Did you know that your physical body is a replica of your energy body?

Did you know that your energy body is where all ease and dis-ease originates?

Did you know that plant based psychedelics are typically more popular in the Western world, but are often discouraged as a spiritual path by many yogis in the Eastern world? Do you know why this is?

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, Aly Sousa joins the conversation with Jamal to explore these topics further.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, I interview Dr. Nathan Riley MD, OB-GYN about how his experience as a physician in the western medical system led him to disillusionment, a spiritual awakening, and eventually to move beyond the traditional medical model to create a practice that is one of the most effective in the nation.

Nathan Riley, MD, is a board-certified OB-GYN and fellow of ACOG who left the medical industrial complex due to his disillusionment with the “standard of care” within the conventional maternity care model. This was hard because “going with the flow” of hospital-based practice was providing him financial security. On the other hand, standing in his truth from having sat with over 1000 births and connecting with women and their families has provided him a lifestyle more in alignment with fatherhood, deepening his connection with his wife, and caring for people in the way that he had anticipated long before stepping into practice.

Dr. Riley now focuses his time on upholding the traditional practice of midwifery. He supports midwives as a collaborative physician for midwives of all varieties in over twenty states. He is an advocate for home birth and still attends births for those in need. He boasts a c-section rate of <5%, which is one of the best in the U.S.

This conversation covers some fascinating perspectives and I'm sure some thought provoking paradigms will be revealed to you in this episode.

If I'm being honest, although I am an author, I am not someone who typically likes to read books. I almost never seek out books, and would rather do many other things in my down time than read. With that said, some books have a way of finding me. When they do, they usually find me because of frequency.

A book recently came into my awareness called 'Returning To Eden' by Heather Hamilton. As soon as I began to interact with the book, I realized that the frequency of this book is refreshing, and one that I deeply resonate with in many ways.

If you identify as a Christian, especially as an evangelical Christian, let me gently encourage you to consider listening to this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast as I interview Heather Hamilton about her new book Returning To Eden. Let me also encourage you to get a copy of her book Returning To Eden

No, not because you will agree with everything in this podcast interview, (or her book), but because it may cause you to consider a perspective that your current sources of information have not been able to present you with. Growth is important for us all, and it takes conscious effort to remain open-minded and to not fall into a closed echo chamber. This is a typical challenge in belief systems of all kinds.

On the other hand, if you have been deeply damaged by the Christian religion and find anything resembling your previous faith to be distaseful or triggering, let me also gently encourage you to listen to this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, and also to consider reading Returning to Eden. You may find it to be restoritive in ways you may not have thought possible.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal, Aly Sousa joins me on the show once again to reveal and discuss another paradigm that keeps many of us stuck and unproductive in life. Ironically, a major tendency that works against our productivity in life is the compulisve drive to get ahead and accomplish tasks. This drive leads many of us to compuslive busyness and multi-tasking.

For many of us, if we are not busy doing many different things, we may feel unproductive and lazy, leading to guilt, shame, and addictive patterns of escape. For others, the feeling of unproductivity may motivate us to work harder and do more things. Either way, this pattern is a major drain of our life force energy which leads to an unproductive life.

Let me encourage you to give this conversation an important listen.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal Podcast, I had the opportunity to sit down with Rachel King, an award winning attorney & litigator, who founded her own law firm in 2014. Rachel's firm specializes in business law, family law, estate law, real estate law, etc...

Rachel is a serial entrepreneur starting at the age of 12. This work ethic and drive at an early age led to 7 years of military service. Utilizing the disciplined skills to move forward owning multiple business, Rachel acquired the desire to continue expanding her talents. The passion for Law was instilled in her from birth from her father’s law career, so she followed in his footsteps opening her own law firm in 2014.

I enjoyed my conversation with Rachel and wanted to share it with you as it gives us a rare look into the life of an attorney who has a desire to use her talents as an attorney to promote healing and peace in a field of law often filled with anger and division.

In this episode of The Love Cast with Jamal podcast, Aly Sousa comes back on the show to kick off part one of our seven part series on how to stop hemorrhaging away our vital life force energy. In this episode, we talk about how excessive emotional reactivity (triggers) deplete us of vital life force energy over time leaving us exhausted and energetically spent. This ultimately leads to more reactive tendencies that lead to more energy drain.

Give this conversation a careful listen.
